Pr Jean-Christophe Philips has been head of clinic in the department of Diabetology, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases at the University Hospital of Liège, Belgium since October 2006. He is also a professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Liege since 2013.
He graduated in medical studies at the University of Liège, after training in diabetology-endocrinology and was awarded the Diploma of Specialized Studies in internal medicine in 2003.
Jean-Christophe is a member of various learned societies of Diabetology such as the ADA (American Diabetes Association), BES (Belgian Endocrine Society), AACE (Association of Clinical Endocrinologists), SFD (Société Francophone de Diabétologie) and participates in various Belgian committees for the fight against diabetes. He is the author of many publications in the field of diabetology and received the National Hypertension Young Investigator Award in 2009. He was also the recipient of the National Award in Diabetology by NovoNordisk in 2011-2012. Jean-Christophe also has strong experience in clinical trials and is a reviewer for different studies.
